So.. Interestingly 44 million mobile Nigerians Internet users, with a great Internet gaming company Maliyo (with the little encouragement from Zynga..) and google target to sell $1 billion Android device in the African region, and that is not far fetched. Currently 700 Million mobile phone users in the region. More and more phone users are targeting to “up-Grade” to the smarter devices. So, let’s put it in the perspective of Bangladesh..
We have 160 million people, with 80 million devices, 57% internet penetration, and a significantly growing “young” entrepreneur society. We have the perfect ingredients!! We need a chef, we need a kitchen, and we could easily be there. The Chef is the Organization with the structure, and the Kitchen is the backend infrastructure. So, it is just a simple “push” to get over the hump. The journey can start, crossing the milestones, and I believe, we can even cross the finish line.
The world is moving towards the direction of localization, and mobility, in a cloud infrastructure. The data is swirling out there for us to grab and make sense out of it, structured, unstructured. More and more, multi-dimensional, multi-lingual, instantaneous, correlated, with triggering capabilities of decision making power. Here we come!!
We can make the apps in Bangla, take it to the person currently holding a mobile phone, and can read barely, with their communication media, at the grip, the true Digital Bangladesh can and will be achieved through the mobile revolution. And we would be at the forefront of it. We will show the global information technology, the innovation and the densely populated creativity can take us always to the next era.
So, if 3.282 million facebook users, and with 2.08% of total population into facebook, that is fantastic at a least! So, one application, one game, with full localization, can very easily take us to the hype, and then settle. I think, you get the drift, we can only by one or a very few make a big splash. So, if Africa as a continent can do it, we are ready, rocking and rolling to execute!!
